Metallic water based screen printing ink here means a kind of special effect ink that used for silk screen printing on fabric, t shirt or garment etc. It will create a metallic printing effect that like transfer foil printing, but it is not transfer foil printing.
For example, the gold metallic water based screen printing ink will screen print a gold metallic color printing effect that like the gold foil transfer printing; the silver metallic screen printing ink will screen print a silver metallic color printing effect that like the silver foil transfer printing.
The metallic water based ink has several main base color ink, like gold metallic ink, silver metallic ink, pearl white metallic ink, lazurite metallic ink etc.
According to these several main base color ink, we can add water based pigments to mix together and get many other metallic effect colors.
For metallic screen printing, there need a under base printing, and there is a special clear metallic under base ink that exclusively used for metallic underbase printing.
The Printing Process metallic water based ink
:
a) Use metallic under base ink for under base printing.
b) Directly print the mixed well metallic ink 2~3 times.
c) Natural Dry for 8~24 hours.
d) Curing at 130℃ for 120 seconds by conveyor dryer.
e) Could pass washing test at water temperature 60℃ in washer for 2 hours for several times.
